Karen, what cultivars are you growing? Do you have them in separate pots?

I have one large pot with a metal trellis. I planted 3 different types in it because I thought it would look neat with different flowers. I have the types separated enough at the bottom and marked with type. Now I realize I should have had a different pot for each one. I'll do that next time. I'm enjoying this so much!
I have Ipomoea nil "Namsan" with red flowers,
Ipomoea nil "Blue Silk or Akatsuki no Tsuyu". and
Ipomoea purpurea with purple solid flaked flower.

You'll definitely be able to distinguish seeds from each other. Blue Silk has tan seeds, Namsan has dark brown black seeds and the purpurea seeds are black but way tinier than Namsan.

It should be a spectacular flower show for certain. Namsan is a robust vine, Blue Silk less so and the purpurea will add interest with different shaped leaves.

Thanks, Joseph. I'm so excited. I wish I'd started growing them sooner instead of waiting. They germinated so easily. One of my Purpurea plants has variegated leaves. It's just a small amount of variegation.

Lynda, I see tons of room there! I'm in an RV & have more plants than that in here Sticking tongue out

Joseph, I've got a lot of plants growing inside. Most of them are on the dash in the front window & some near the side windows. Then I have some under lights in the bathroom.

It stays fairly warm in here as long as the temperature doesn't get below 24 degrees, but pretty soon the weather is going to drop to 12 degrees or below Sad

One year it actually dropped to minus 18 & it was so cold in here that I thought me & my critter were going to freeze. I didn't have any plants that year though. I'm really hoping for a mild winter this year Crossing Fingers!

Thea, does your RV move, or is it permanently sited? It's neat you have your plants even in a smaller space.

Well, I have as many as I and the cats! can tolerate, or should I say, as many as I want to shoo the cats off from! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing My deal is that most of my plants are so BIG. I mean, an avocado tree that's nearly 9' tall, a lime tree that's 6' tall, and I can't get in to guess how big the tree philo is. Plus the crown of thorns is about 4' around. nodding

Karen, The RV needs a little work to make it mobile again. The battery froze & blew up but before that happened it was mobile Blinking

Lynda, I only have one cat who stays in here with me & the only plant he messes with is his catnip plant. My other cat stays with my father because he freaks out in here. I guess he thinks it might move Blinking The largest plant I have is a 4-foot pineapple sage that shares a pot with a few other plants. I do good to keep that one alive through the winter. Next year I'm going to prune it down & hope for the best. It just almost bloomed for me last year.

Joseph, thank you for hoping for a mild winter. I have a few plants I'd really hate to lose.

Joseph, they have their favorite plants they chew on, knock down, etc. they seem to love the spider plant. And they try to pee in the avocado. The succulents hold great interest for them; they are in front of a window they like to sit in and observe the yard, they give some of them a sniff and chew every time they go by to get in the window. Little cotton balls with lavender oil on them scattered around help a lot.
Now the kittens actually pushed over the lime tree the other day, stand and all! No major damage to the tree, but the pot did split down one side. It's ok, I will have to watch the watering and replant in the spring.
The kittens will be gone this week, thank goodness! They also like to bat at the tree philo leaves.

Now if I were in Florida, it would be a real tree! And I could leave it outside all year long. 🤣. With all the troubles I've seen folks have with this plant, I wasn't sure I wanted one. It turns out to be a very easy houseplant to grow. It likes a lot of light, a tight pot, and to dry out between watering. Not fussy at all.
