Hi National Gardening Association,
Two questions regarding Kopper King hibiscus, currently growing in my salty, sometimes underwater, south facing sheltered backyard on Long Beach Island NJ:
Are the flower petals edible if dried for tea?
How and when should the plants be divided?
I purchased these two Kopper King hibiscus plants eight years ago, which now grow six feet tall by four feet wide with flowers the size of dinner plates in July.
Known as swamp mallow here, my hibiscus are happy perennials.
Your comments would be appreciated, please.
Thank you,
Leslie
