It's such a nice one, but has only bloomed occasionally here. I suppose I should move it and see what happens.

Rain soaked flowers today! But at least they are still standing on their own. Social Graces has not bloomed for quite awhile here. It is very similar to the Breck's NOID, but smaller with more veining on the falls. Also later to flower and not nearly as vigorous as the NOID.

It's a week before the start of winter here and we've had maybe 5 frosts so far. Autumn has been extremely dry and mild. I was just out in the garden cutting diseased leaves off my irises when I noticed some have bloom stalks. Should I be leaving these to see if they flower or should I get rid of them so they don't rot? Are they likely to open this late in the season or am I kidding myself?

I get some winter bloom here. It all depends on how cold your climate is - ie. your climate zone. It can be almost "winter", but you can still maybe see some bloom. It might help, though, if your stalks were under overhanging trees or something that could give them a little shelter.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

There is no shelter for them. Should I maybe leave them for another week and see if the blooms progress?

Your welcome Derylin. I feel the same way as you. Keeping up with my Iris this year is so time consuming because I am trying to ID so many so I can tag them. What a job.

I just weeded the end of my slab near the garage. It was once a holding place for NOID Iris but once IDed and removed, the bed went to weeds. Now I am reclaiming it for more NOID's.
Before (You can see where I started to weed before taking the picture.)
