Miscellaneous blooms early spring.
Thumb of 2020-12-06/okieheart/15e4f1

I bought a package of pink lilies from Aldi last spring. This year every plant was a different color, though last year they were all bright pink.
Thumb of 2020-12-06/okieheart/d0b97f

All the daylilies came from one of the swaps here. Unfortunately the tags didn't survive my pup helping me in the garden.

I love the photos. Inspiration!

Alana, that's a beautiful selection of orange bloomers.

This year I'm going to try and do an area with orange, blue and white blooms. I planted your mini blue nigella(names escaping me) some orange hawaii marigolds and a white lavatera together in a grow box. I really liked how they looked together.
I'm going to try and do an area in the garden next year. I didn't collect seeds from the marigold, off to see if bindi is on your list nodding

It wasn't ripe but had just started turning pink. A few more weeks and it may have been edible.

@audreydee~this self-sewn purple tobacco resulted from a cross of that UI long-tubed white one of yours (you named it 'Rising Star') and some other Nicotiana (I don't really know which). It has no noticeable scent and doesn't want to set seeds. It's so beautiful and I hope to see it again next year.

Janinilulu,
That is a lovely nicotiana. Perhaps you have created your own cultivar! Were you able to save any seeds from it? I think I got the seeds for the white one from Gardens North (now out of business), but she didn't have a name for it, which is why I made up my own. That coleus is pretty spectacular too!

Here are a few of my favorites from this year, including the chocolate cosmos whose seeds I got from you. My tomatoes and squashes did very well--thanks to all of you in the swaps you contributed the seeds! (A couple of these photos got axed from the photo contest for unknown reasons. If anybody knows why that happens, please let me know.)

@ishareflowers I'm sure it's that Clerodendrum: one of the common names is Peanut Butter Bush and if you rub & sniff the leaves it's easy to see why. It hasn't bloomed yet (seed was sown in 2018). Here's a closer view. There are Datura growing under it here. I'm going to have to move it. I put it too close to the house!

Audrey: I wasn't able to get any seeds and actually never saw a completely mature pod. Hopefully next year. Love your pics!

Janine...loving all your pics.your garden is full of colors.
Be careful, those Clerodendrum trichotomum send out suckers like crazy. Before long I had a forest of them. The flowers are unique as they set fruits of tourquoise and hot pink. The peanut butter olfactory combined from crinkled leaves is powerful. One of my favoriates in the garden. They don't grow to large and are fairly easy to control.
