Yes! and yes, fragrant in the evening. They show up in a grouping like this even though the garden has been tilled. There's a Mirabilis multiflora that does this, too, but tends to move around a bit from year to year. This year it chose to show up in a walkway.

I wonder if hand pollination would work on that tobacco. I've never tried it.

Those tobacco plants are lovely. I had a Nicotiana otophora that didn't bloom last summer, so I potted it up and put it under the grow lights during the winter where it did bloom a little. So far it hasn't bloomed outdoors. I'm guessing I should have taken it out of the pot and put it back in the ground!

I didn't dib on any green Echinacea seeds - I thought "Oh yuck, why would anyone want green flowers?" However, they are a real show piece in Lisa's garden. I might have to try them!

Looks like Phytolacca americana, Pokeweed.
The ones around here are about to go to seed.

That's what I was thinking but the ones down the street are purple... Maybe I'm confusing them with something else or maybe the seeds have ripened on them and not this yet.

Edited to add....one season of not being on top of weeds and my garden is a mess!! I found hogweed too...

My first thought was pokeweed, also. The berries are purple, but the leaves are green.

@janinilulu. Did the white lobelia that I sent you come up white or blue?

I marked the ones that were blooming White with small zip ties and collected those seeds separately but I have no idea if they grew true or not so I don't know if I should bother separating this season?
