As I hoped, the warmer temps this week helped produce some reasonably nice blooms. All ends tomorrow when the temps are going to drop back to 50's & 70's with a few 40's thrown in for the next 10 days. Here's a few on rebloom from today...

No Fear, a relief form from Dan Hansen. So far this one has done well in zone 4.


Couldn't believe this one....Primal Scream has 2, yes 2 rebloom scapes up!!! I've never seen it rebloom here before.

As I only have two or three possibilities, I'm stuck with posting the same plants. But different blooms every time! And we all know each one is an individual...

So, at last, the Queen of the day, the ONLY day lily in the whole yard, the eagerly awaited Cheeky Cherry!

This is a big bloom, by the way, about a 9" across

The only flowering cultivar I have left in September is Purple Ninja.
Still opens well on colder nights.

I know Belgium is far off but watch for GinnyG sneaking up in the dark with a shovel

Ginny, judging by the comments I read here on the forum you are quite fond of Purple Ninja (or maybe all the ofspring from tet. Rose F. Kennedy)
Guy Pierce has delivered great work in recent years, he had the vision to convert R.F.K. to tetraploide for further breeding, and with great success.

If you still want to come at night leave your shovel at home, there is a potted Purple Ninja behind the garden shed.
