Deer Resistant Seed Mix, Floswers From Dollar Seed company. In includes annuals and perennials: Contains at least 17 wildflowers, annuals and also some perennials, that deer do not like. Will bloom in large bursts the first year, with the wildflower annuals first to flower, then subsequent years there will be color from perennials.

Note: The larger the area planted the better the results. Maybe get a bigger package in future years for this border area.

DT Cottage Garden Wildflower Mix. I have many lovely seeds that emerged from this mix. I even Winter Sowed some of them in a large gallon baggie successfully.

I have more seeds I will be growing this way, in jugs or even baggies, in 2023, winter sown.

June 15, 2021: Bloomed (This inexpensive mix turned out to have a delightful selection of California poppies, regular poppies and more. I planted them in my cutting garden and will collect seed for 2022 for Winter Sowing.)

Tender Perennial (Michigan)
Perennial grown as an annual. Needs plenty of water. Lovely, dark purple foliage. Great accent for Osteospermum and other green leafed annuals.

One new plant was lush and full in a 12-14" pot by season's end.
October 1, 2022: Cuttings stuck (Put in the new greenhouse. Will see if it will carry over to a new season. Lovely foliage plant.)

Red Amaranth (Amaranthus 'Komo')

Amaranth, Red Dye Hopi - Large plant, showy, though leaves can become beetle food in spring summer. Striking in the garden grown with tall white and pink cosmos. Originally grown as a dye plant by the southwestern Hopi Nation, as it has the most deep red seedlings.

Grown in annual community garden. Showy, large 6-7 foot plant with large seed heads, branching. Can harvest the main head in July and it will send out side shoots.

Don't know yet which "Appleblossom" Snapdragon this is, received it in a seed swap from RoseA32. Winter Sowing it. February 23, 2023: Seeds sown (Winter sowing in Dixie Cups in WS Tote. This could be a main season snapdragon. Just learned about Groups 1-4 for snapdragons.)
March 21, 2023: Seeds germinated (Doing well, moved into greenhouse to assist germination and may be doing better than similar snapdragons grown indoors. Time will tell.)
April 28, 2023: Seeds sown (Sowed fresh Potomac AppleBlossom seed from Territorial Seed and put under lights in the basement.)
May 13, 2023: Transplanted (Planted in Blueberry row at CSS Project Grow. Plants are small, so will see if they grow.)

February 19, 2024: Seeds germinated (First seeds germinated out in cool greenhouse in micro seed blocks. Transplanted to green small humid domes. Will see how they do in the greenhouse in 2024. Need to keep an eye on high temps as the bubble wrapped greenhouse gets VERY warm on sunny days. Need to open the door at the very least and may remove bubble wrap from vented window.)

Light needed for germination. Azalea style, double petals on ht. 26–36". Lush, fluffy, Victorian style to this snapdragon in Group 3–4 "main season" or "all season". AAS winner.

Flowers are edible, a lovely, if slightly bitter garnish for salads, desserts, and drinks. Use sparingly.
