Feel free to ask about anything in my list you may be interested in. I'm always looking to trade. Just because something isn't in my want list doesn't necessarily mean I don't want it & just because something I have isn't marked for trade doesn't mean it isn't available for trade. 'Berkeley Tie-Dye Green' is a variety developed from the line of 'Berkeley Tye-Dye' bred by Brad Gates of 'Wild Boar Farms', Napa Valley, California, USA. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants loaded with medium-sized (6-8 oz.) beefsteaks. Beautifully colored fruit: green, yellow, and purple striped outside with green, yellow, and red marbling inside. Amazing slicer, outstanding, rich tomato taste, sweet and spicy, with fruity notes. Very good yield, from the middle of the season to the first frosts. About 75 days to maturity.

Brad describes BTD as follows: "Berkeley Tie Dye- red gold and green stripes- green flesh with pink blush. Strong flavor, almost salty."

'Pink Berkeley Tie Dye' tomato was developed from an unknown cross that arose in the fields of Brad Gates who owns Wild Boar Farms in Napa Valley, California, USA. First offered in the Seed Savers Exchange 2008 Yearbook by Gary W. Maness of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio. Both received the seeds from Brad.
Beautiful, large (8-12oz./220-350g), port wine-colored beefsteaks with metallic green stripes and dark brownish-green shoulders are produced by compact indeterminate, regular leaf plants. The luscious fruits have a deep, sweet, earthy, and well-balanced flavor. Early to mid-early, about 65-75 days to maturity.

Beautiful 8-12 ounce beefsteak-type tomatoes with port wine skin and metallic green stripes. Their pink-red flesh can have streaks of green or yellow, and they offer a deep, very sweet, and complex flavor. The relatively compact indeterminate tomato plants are vigorous and early to bear fruit and will keep producing all season long up until frost.

The Pink Berkeley Tie Dye tomato is a related variety of the Berkeley tie-dye tomato. Its seed was selected and grown by Brad Gates, known in the California Bay Area as "the tomato guy", and was first offered in the Seed Savers 2008. Pink Berkeley Tie Dye tomatoes are well adapted to almost all climates, including the Bay Area climate. Brad has said, "Even people in Berkeley can raise it because it can handle the Bay Area fog."

A classic favorite. Better Boy holds a Guinness Book of World Records championship for yields (nearly 350 pounds of tomatoes from a single plant over a single season!). Awarded an All-America Selection many years ago, Better Boy continues to be the tomato of choice for many home gardeners. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces big yields of 10-16 oz., bright-red, juicy yet meaty, round fruits continuing strong all season long. Superior disease resistance. Resistant to Verticillium Wilt, Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Nematodes, Alternaria, and Gray Leaf Spot.

A hybrid between the Teddy Jones heirloom tomato variety and an unknown red variety developed by plant breeder John Peto.

Grew in 2020 & again in 2022 from saved seeds.

A cross of Big Dwarf and Brandywine

'Big Brandy F1' is a cross of 'Big Dwarf' and 'Brandywine', that produce beautiful, big (about 12 to 15 oz.) beefsteak-type fruits. This is a part of 'Heirloom Marriage™' hybrid series, which is produced from modern day unions of heirloom parents, providing hybrid vigor while maintaining the virtue and integrity of their old-fashioned beginnings. They were bred for improved yield, earlier maturity, and fewer blemishes while maintaining old-time flavor. Distinctive, deeply pleated fruit are juicy, sweet, and balanced with a touch of acid – outstanding tomato flavor.

Grew 2020. Very prolific. Great flavor.

'Black Cherry' is a delicious and well-known tomato variety, although its true paternity has not been revealed. The Vince and Linda Sapp family, who own the 'Tomato Growers Supply Company' in Florida, USA, developed it from a natural cross. In 2003, they made it commercially available for the first time. Donated to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)* on September 29th, 2004, by Phillip D. Griffiths of Cornell University. Germplasm Resource Information Network (GRIN)** accession number for this tomato is PI 639207.
The only authentic black cherry tomato grows on enormous, sprawling plants with vigorous vines that are laden with abundant crops of cherries growing in clusters of 10-12 weighing 0.7-0.9oz/20-25g and measuring 1in./2.54cm. The small, spherical fruit has a purple flesh with green jelly around the seeds and is bursting with irresistibly wonderful, sweet, rich, complex flavors and blends beautifully with other colored cherries in a multitude of fresh summertime recipes, making it a Farmer's Market favorite. Fruit will ripen early-to-mid season, 65-70 days after transplant. Good disease resistance.

* The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) conducts plant breeding activities both internally and through publicly funded programs all over the USA.

** Germplasm Resource Information Network (GRIN) documents plant, animal, and microbial collections through informational pages and searchable databases. GRIN is operated by the National Germplasm Resources Laboratory in Beltsville, MD, USA.

'Black From Tula' is a Ukrainian heirloom from Tula. Largest of the black tomatoes with 3-4″, slightly flattened, oblate, dark brown to purple fruit with deep green shoulders. Deliciously outstanding, rich, slightly salty, smoky-fruit flavor.!!

Russian variety imported by SSE from seeds woman Marina Danilenko. First listed in the 1996 SSE Yearbook. Described by one SSE member as "the ugliest, most delicious tomato I've ever grown." Good yields of brownish-red slightly flattened globes weighing up to 14 ounces. Rich full flavor, and great for slicing and canning.

Hands down the best-tasting tomato I've tasted this season 2023.

'Sosulka Chernaya' is of Ukrainian origin. It was developed from an accidental cross found by Aleksey Kulik in his tomato field in Ochtyrka, a small city in Sumy Oblast in Ukraine. The only thing, that Aleksey remembers about the original variety is that it had pink plum-shaped fruits. He selected it for black elongated fruits and shared seeds with Denis Terentiev, Aleksey's partner and friend, who helped to stabilize this variety and offered the seeds commercially in Ukraine and Russia. 'Sosulka Chernaya' was first introduced commercially in North America by 'Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds' under its translated name 'Black Icicle'.
Indeterminate, tall (1.9 meters tall and more), regular leaf plants with a prolific yield of medium-sized (3oz./90g) mahogany-brown, elongated fruits with dark green shoulders. Firm, dense texture and nicely balanced sweet tomato taste. Fruits can be stored for a few weeks after harvest and ripen very well off the vine. Excellent yield, starting from the middle of the season until the first frost. It's rather unique as it does well both – in cool and in warm weather conditions. Very good disease resistance. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
There are also sister lines of this variety in other colors: white, yellow, orange, red, pink, and green.

Black Icicle tomatoes are thick-walled, burgundy-brown fruits, about four ounces in size, with an oblong shape and tapered end. This paste-type tomato looks like a Roma tomato but has the taste profile of a Beefsteak tomato, with sweet, rich, and earthy flavors.

My most prolific this year (2021) & as always, great flavor.

'Black Krim' tomato is a Ukrainian heirloom variety from the Crimea region of the Black Sea, Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine. First offered in the SSE 1990 Yearbook by Lars Olov Rosenstrom of Bromma, Sweden. This rare and outstanding tomato yields 3-4″ slightly flattened dark-red (mahogany-colored) slightly maroon, beefsteak tomatoes with deep green shoulders. Green gel around seeds. Fantastic, intense, slightly salty taste. Perfect choice for slicing, salads, and cooking. Also suitable for container/patio gardens. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield.

One of the best flavored black tomatoes, the Black Krim bears 5", roundish fruits that turn almost black when ripe. The fruits are known for their elegant color, which at some times have green or red speckles within the black skin. The flavor is excellent.

'Black Strawberry' is a recent variety created by 'J&L Garden' from a cross made between 'Bosque Blue' and 'Strawberry Tiger'. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce a very beautiful, round, striped saladette with an antho splash on the shoulders. Red and juicy flesh with good tomato flavor. Midseason, About 75-80 days to maturity.

Fantastic, sugar-sweet tomato flavor, that is fruity, with a hint of grape and plum flavors. If you relish the experience of digging into a bowl of high-quality cocktail tomatoes, then the Black Strawberry is your tomato. This 1-ounce fruit is marbled in blue, scarlet, and gold. A bowl full resembles a luminous and luxurious bunch of gems, and indeed the flavor is decadent and indulgent, with a perfectly sweet and tart balanced flavor! This extremely productive and early variety makes it an obvious choice for gardeners and market farmers who want rugged, early-producing plants, and do not want to sacrifice eating quality.

A very adaptable and easy-to-grow saladette tomato for more extreme temperatures, cool nights, and hot days. During a record-breaking summer at Giving Ground Farm, these tomatoes were the first to ripen during 6 weeks of 95+ degrees and produced most heavily. Large, 2 oz, crack-resistant cherry tomato with a ridiculously juicy center and striped tie-dye red and dark green skin which gives it its "black" appearance. Thick-skinned fruit. Relatively early and productive over a long season. Rich, complex, slightly smokey, tart flavor. Regular leaf.
