My most prolific this year (2021) & as always, great flavor.
'Black Krim' tomato is a Ukrainian heirloom variety from the Crimea region of the Black Sea, Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine. First offered in the SSE 1990 Yearbook by Lars Olov Rosenstrom of Bromma, Sweden. This rare and outstanding tomato yields 3-4″ slightly flattened dark-red (mahogany-colored) slightly maroon, beefsteak tomatoes with deep green shoulders. Green gel around seeds. Fantastic, intense, slightly salty taste. Perfect choice for slicing, salads, and cooking. Also suitable for container/patio gardens. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield.
One of the best flavored black tomatoes, the Black Krim bears 5", roundish fruits that turn almost black when ripe. The fruits are known for their elegant color, which at some times have green or red speckles within the black skin. The flavor is excellent.
