Seedfork, the plant in your last photo is Salvia farinacea. It's still in bud at this stage. (At least, I can't clearly make out any flowers that have opened yet in the photo, just the blueish calyces. Either way, it's mostly at the in-bud stage.) When both this and your Veronica 'Goodness Grows' start blooming, take a close look at the individual flowers that make up the spire of blooms. You'll see that the flowers are actually shaped differently and then you'll be able to tell them apart in the future. The Salvia farinacea bloom will have a small hood at the top and a lip at the bottom.
