Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum and hope to add some oriental lilies to my garden as border plants. I once grew Stargazers in door but never got too serious about lilies. By Googling, it seems that there are some oriental lilies that are 18 to 22 inches tall, or less than half the height a "regular" oriental lily gets. Looks like the vendors call them by different casual names, I have seen "Pot Oriental Lilies," "Dwarf Oriental Lilies," "Oriental Border Lilies" etc. Here is what I see on Mak Lilies catalog, but they seem to be wholesale only.

Anyone has some experience with these dwarf versions of oriental lilies? Is there a "formal" name for this group? I assume the height in the description of their catalog is just how short they naturally get, without the need to spray growth retarder? However, I also saw a lot reviews where people say they exceed the claimed height by quite a bit.

What's the best retail source for getting a few cultivars of a few bulbs each to plant in Spring 2024? Hopefully they are still accepting orders at this moment Smiling
