adknative said: Okay, looking for a bit of help, please.
Yesterday, Ron & I went to visit a dear friend. I was asking about a cactus she had in her collection, have not seen one like it before... but I do believe it to be a cactus (while all cactus are succulents, not all succulents are cactus) as it does have (very few) spines.
The paddles are very flat, with rounded edges, but it still looks like a cactus. I am not familiar with many cactus, so my ignorance here is unlimited... When I asked her the name, she did not recall ... but stated her aunt had given it to her 75 years ago (yes, you are reading that correctly).
And she promptly gave me a smaller version, one she had sitting in behind the large one. I would love to know it's name...
It was beyond bone dry, so I watered it lightly last night and put it under grow lights (it looked a bit lemon-green and I do think, between the water and lights, it has greened up slightly today).
Thanks for the help / suggestions!
