Rainy day so popping around the forums and found this thread. Common here but so perfect, don't forget Phygelius capensis, Cape Fuchsia. It survives when I have summers touching 114° and both the gophers and voles leave it alone. I chop it back after spring bloom. As the hummers love it - I'll do one or two plants, then wait to prune another till the first bunch is ready to bloom again.

Remember, it is dangerous to the environment and ILLEGAL in MANY states (CA is one) to mail plants/bulbs/cuttings in. Let’s all practice Do No Harm while we walk this earth and find other ways to connect to one another through gardening.
