I first saw it in the UK over 20 years ago and resisted the temptation to bring it back with me, choosing to wait until it came to Canada. Ultimately it did and I have been growing it now for about 18 years 
I don't feed it or baby it and it grows in some pretty bad places 
It received an AGM from the RHS too!
