Minor grump over my town's apparent need to install as many roundabouts as possible.
They just announced they're putting 3 more on one road alone. They announced a while back that their goal was 26 roundabouts. I live in a town of 40,000 people and we don't have heavy traffic because nothing's there. We don't need 26 roundabouts.
Especially that road... it's not a heavy traffic road. A lot of the transport trucks use it to enter town as well. Putting three roundabouts almost feels like it's going to slow things down. The traffic lights work just fine in my opinion.
Roundabouts make me grumpy because I find people don't use them properly. You end up stuck waiting forever for all the traffic on your left. When a traffic light likely would have been quicker. There was one on the way to my last job, and I got stuck at it all the time. I would have preferred the traffic light that was there prior.
