@Murky Nancy, Vinca is a focal point along the edge of my front garden. Here in hot humid Georgia, it is tough to find flowers that keep blooming through August into the autumn, and require little maintenance. Vinca is the answer. They don't require dead-heading, they don't require watering, and I fertilize them only occasionally. I am lucky that a wholesale grower of annuals is just down the street from me, so I am able to buy the Vinca by the flat. The key is buy early before she sells out of my favorite choices, so that means I sometimes have to let the plants stay in the flat on the back porch until the danger of frost has passed. It was during that "growing on" period that I saw the flats and said, "That would make an interesting photo." Thanks to everyone for the thumbs up. It is good to know you also enjoyed the photo.
