I was particually thrilled with 19-68A when it bloomed because of the form have not seen anything close to it since Joe's Marching Orders for ruffles which is probably 10 years old now but as the flower aged it showed more of a tan blend on the standards so not quite what I'm after but something I'm working with the hardest part with these when you get away from breeding reds to reds is you lose the bright colors that make them glow in the sun the trick will be finding something that passes that form while keeping the colors.
These next 2 crosses shown were also reds and plicata mixtures and both of these show some promise especially in the next generations really liked 19-180A this year a nice black/ red color in the garden with the stalk we want on them
and 20-130A was a very neat color with a lot of plicata genes in it which could give anything.
