Um, I could try getting some organic fennel foliage at a grocery store. Or maybe buy plants at a nursery...maybe they have them, even though I've never bought those in fall before. Cilantro from seed would work when started inside in winter. But your climate is different there. I have grown the slow-bolt kind in the past because it gets so hot outside here. But maybe slow-bolt wouldn't be necessary where you are? Cilantro that bolts makes Coriander seed, same plant. Parsley would work started inside also. Mine used to get leggy if kept inside too long, but that could be because the amout of lights wasn't adequate. I've been thinking about setting up something with lights up in the living room where plants could also get sunlight from two windows. But first I'd have to get rid of the old sofa that hubby didn't want to dispose of when we moved into our new mobile home and bought the new sofa and loveseat.
