That's an old wooden face sculpture my old neighbors had and they gave it to me, they knew I loved it. I hung where they could also see it, and I can see from the windows or when sitting out there. In the winter I raise it up higher so the eave protects it a bit more from snow, and lower it in the summer so I can see the face between the hanging basket above and planter below. And also give it a fresh coat of Thompson's each spring. There's a suet feeder to the left of it and the woodpeckers especially love to stop and hang on the wood piece for a bit to check things out. I couldn't find any pics with birds on it right now though, but here's one with the top part showing under the hanging basket, so his face shows.
