give a little water, but less than the volume of pot - (if you have a 1 liter pot, give plant 1/2 liter water) ..... as new leaves appear, give a little more water .....

as it gets hotter outside, adenium require much more water

adenium *take forever* to respond to changes .....and may seem incredibly slow .... give it more time ....

during dormancy, the plant uses its stored up reserves from the caudex ....as it uses these reserves, the caudex will shrink and "appear" shriveled - and a potting media cavity will form around the caudex ....
once watering resumes - the plant will stop using reserves from caudex and the potting media cavity closes ...the caudex will get fat again ....but it may take a few weeks before we notice any "real" changes
