I found some of the pictures and video I have of the fountains. The videos are just short clips from my trail cam and regular camera edited together, nothing fancy, no audio. My 10+ year old budget computer doesn't really have enough resources to edit video!

Here was my first attempt at a birdbath fountain using the pond pump. Two terra cotta saucers (top one I filed down an overflow spot to spill into the lower one), a large stainless steel kitchen bowl as a reservoir, and some tubing inside copper pipe scraps. It had to be perfectly level and I needed that rock to help prevent a swirling whirlpool effect. The robins liked it and would muck up the water a lot, but the smaller birds would usually just drink from the edges.

Here was the main problem though. The nighttime visitors. This was from a foggy night, spooky!

They would mess it up over and over... and yes that raccoon is peeing in the water! The feral cat is Ms. Cookie and she would drink out of it. Poor thing has probably already had leptospirosis by now. Another reason I cleaned it out every morning.

I'm gonna split this post up, so it isn't as long and I don't goof it up.
