My favorite author on looking up Orchids in the wild is Paul Martin Brown. I have his book on the Wild Orchids of the Northeastern United States.

He wrote quite a few on different regions.

The interesting orchid in your picture is Bulbophyllum echinolabium. Those lips on a tilt/hinges ARE pretty neat!!
