That looks like a Salvia greggii "Furman's Red" (yes?) which can sprawl at times. They can benefit from pruning out the oldest, longest woody stems and will put out new upright growth from the center. Go easy on water. If your soil is quite rich, don't fertilize at all. If it's lean, fertilize once, lightly, in the spring. Too much water and/or fertilizer will make them floppy. Hummingbirds love them.
