Love "Naked Ladies". Smiling

I remember when I was ~10 living in Del Mar, California, we had some that
grew in the dryest un-amended soil, were just stumps when dormant,
but still reliably put out healthy leaves and many flowers each year.
Was impressed how durable they were...maybe they got me interested
(subliminally) in plants at an early age (?).

Also remember thinking when told their name, "Naked Ladies??! Really??" Blinking

Several years ago when coming home from vacation in
San Louis Obispo, Ca, saw a good size "stand' of them growing along Hwy 101 (southbound)
in Arroyo Grande, California (I think). No maintenance necessary.

Very tough & hardy in addition to being very pretty. Thumbs up

FYI,
The common name, Naked Lady, emerged because the bulb blooms in late summer without foliage, but waits to sprout foliage until spring along with daffodils.

I never knew that.
Learn and/or create something every day.
