Slmin, Mine pups in huge clusters of about 6 to 8 pups a year on my Asahi. My hahnii about two a year. I switched to my own compost mix. Made by my compost pile of grass clippings and crushed leaves for fall clean-up. It is many years old and the soil looks like potting soil so I figured why not. Also use Alfalfa meal in the mix and water with compost tea. I have been slowly changing to this mix in all my plants even the Agave and Jades. So far so good.
My compost tea is from HTG Supply called 'Stump Tea'. A little costly but one package makes up so much I think it will last me a year.
