Does anyone here grow salsify?
Does it grow the same as carrots? I'd like to give it a try.
I understand the root tastes a bit like oyster.
Though I'm not a fan of oysters, it may be the texture of them, rather than the flavor, that I don't like. For health reasons, DH and I have moved to a vegan-on-the-way-to-whole-foods-plant-based diet, and I'm looking to try / re-try veggies with different taste profiles than I'm accustomed to. Salsify is on that list, but it isn't available at my local grocer and I don't want to buy a whole packet of seeds. I'll add it to my swap wish list, but wanted to mention it here, as well...
