Actually I agree with you about most restaurant food. Lately I have been mostly disappointed. We went to a supposedly nice "tea" house.
Chicken salad sandwich on roll with potato chips for $10. No salad. If we had ordered house special it will have pasta salad. Still disappointed when a group of people goes to eat.
Garden club had holiday party. We
used to have it at a ladies house decorating for holidays. Yesterday it was catered cafeteria food a lady
said. Maybe ladies were tired of cooking and washing dishes. In the past it was fun, food, fellowship.
They had $ collecting at work to help people with medical care. I decided to put my$ to those causes instead of $20 fee for mediocre
party. Like you, I am surprised at the amount of time and money spent on eating out or having food delivered.
At work I went to canteen for a friend. The food is made by our cafeteria, salad and sandwich.
The drinks are made by Starbucks
People stand around while fancy drinks made. For small salad, her fancy drink, my decaf coffee $12.
Your home cooked chili and salad looked much better tastier and healthier than the bought food!
