Another butterfly photo shoot interrupted....when I glanced over and saw this. The kits were out of the den! Five of them!
I first spotted the little ones about a week ago, but kept a distance. Today I used a telephoto lens and was able to get some so-so shots. The Mama is used to me, so she didn't seem to mind.

It was so much fun to watch the babies tussle and tumble while playing and exploring. I'm sure they'll get even bolder with age. Expect more photos - but meanwhile, back to butterflies!
