Depends of course. Some species sprout faster than others. I have had pups emerge in 3 weeks and some that took over a year. I am sure temperature is important. Watering as well. Warm, wet things just grow faster. Initially I mentally connected Sans. with South Africa and other dry places but many of the top growers are in Thailand and Indonesia. I think that in general I succeed with Sans. because I give them more light and water than most hobbyists who are looking for a low light plant.
