East Texas hot and sweaty summers here... I tried to germinate winged beans with one out of ten sprouted. It later perished. Shrug! Any thoughts?

Winged beans require scarification (the preferred method in Asia) or at least 12 hours in water to germinate. Adding a KNO3 to the solution will help. Seedlings must not be allowed to dry out but, here's the tricky part, they also require good drainage.
