Just the way I do it, Ed. I dig in October, I grow on lists so I do not have a lot of damage from digging. Physically damaged potatoes normally heal up rapidly during curing. I don't do anything exotic, just put the potatoes in bushel baskets and store in a shed until night temps drop into the mid forties. At which time I transfer to paper sacks and store in a heated area. I may have to pick through from time to time, but I normally have usable potatoes as late as June. Only No- No is never let them cool below 45 degrees.
