Hi!
glad to see you! May this day and everyday see lots of smiles on your face!
I started to do my fall regime for daylilies, but had to stop when the temps did not drop. Fertilizer+ crazy rain+ heat equals rot. So right now they look like this....the ones in pots are super mop tops. There are inground daylilies. One on each side of the frog. The difference between the container daylilies and being in the ground is significant. Containers win out.
In front of the frog, all the little green leaves starting to poke out belong to the spider lilies, lycoris radiata. Pretty soon it will look like that garden bed is edged with liriope.
Rain and heat has been a problem....this is all I have left from about 20 iris that came in September. There was an additional 25 in the order, not sure if those are salvageable.
Thank goodness it cooled off
maybe on Wednesday or Thursday I can get back to daylilies. Rain, Rain...takes the good blooms. One of the few roses left had lots of buds that opened in the rain.
Thought I could get a good picture of a ladybug larvae on my clematis.
It ended up a little blurry. Would it hold still for another?....no.
Seeing as the weather has been keeping me out of the garden.....
what I was able to do today is make a meatloaf for lunch....Do you have any secrets for meatloaf? I have two. Red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon and using large croutons either garlic w/herb or Caesar flavored for filler
. I do not use a loaf pan. I have a large glass oval casserole that I mix and bake in the same dish.
Spray it with non-stick spray...Slightly crush croutons, diced onion, egg
Mix it all up...............................pour red wine over it.
Add ground beef, garlic salt, pepper..mix well and shape into loaf
Last 10 to 15 minutes of baking pour some BBQ sauce over the top and continue to bake.
for stopping by!
May your days be filled with calm, happiness, and good times! May your blessings be too numerous to count!
