For a quick solution when you arrive, just to "park" your broms, I would just buy a bag of shredded bark mulch, dump it on the ground in a shady spot and nestle their little bottoms into it, then water. Quick and easy, then you can take your time later to figure out what to do. I've planted more broms in mulch than I can count, and never had a problem with any of them.
