What concerned me was the deply indented leaves vs. more rounded, yet pointed leaves of the wild grapes that grow here. Here are some photos that I just now took of the wild grapes living close to my house:

The leaves in the photo posted with my original question look so different from the leaves of the wild grape vines I am used to seeing.

The question I posted is actually that of a friend who saw it in her dad's back yard and asked me about it.

She wondered if it might be Ampelopsis brevipedunculata. She also said that the blossoms do look a lot like what she has seen posted for porcelain berry's grape-family-type flowers.
