Possible I should direct this in another forum, but my question is really Salvia specific...

I received 2 sets of salvia seeds earlier this fall. I sowed them indoors and they have done remarkably well - a Salvia Coccinea 'Coral Nymph" and a Sky Blue that I assumed to be a Farinacea.

Good news - they are healthy and blooming. Interesting news - they are ALL a beautiful soft pink.

My assumption is that the person I got the seeds from just mismatched/mismarked the Sky Blue. However, is there any reason to think that Salvias are more or less likely to come true through seed?

Thanks,
Larry
