When I worked as a dry clean spotter I sometimes resorted to using WD40. If sprayed on a greasy stain...the WD40 would penetrate the fibers, then I would use the normal stain-removing agents to remove the stain. The WD40 allowed the agents to get in places that normal water-based stain removers could not reach. Good stuff. Would not advise doing this on any silk garments, but for most other fabrics it made a big difference. I love this stuff. Lovey dubby
