Mud daubers do the same thing with spiders. You may have seen the tubes they make out of mud stuck on doors or other structures around the house. These wasps will lay eggs in the tubes and then paralyze spiders and shove them up in the tubes for the larvae to eat. Blinking Once I knocked one of these tubes off of the front door jam and was surprised when at least fifty spiders spilled out!!
