Here's web page I use, often, in searching for historics. It's in German, but there is an "English" *button* at the top. I usually start with his "collection"....you'll have several choices, in this case you'll pick "Historic". Then, you can "scroll through" and see if anything "clicks"....it's also a pretty good "teaching tool", as you can see that most irises of the same "time frame" have many similarities in form...color combinations, etc......and that helps one get a better handle on the "age group" that the NOID might be from. You can also search "by Hybridizer"...you 'click' on the flag of the country they were from, then pick the hybridizer, and see all their intros, wether or not they are "known" to be in a collection....somewhere...and see any pix there might be of them(that he is able to publish). The HIPS forum now has a "search feature,also....follow the "prompts"
