One trick for gas on garden equipment and frankly for vehicles too. Go buy Lucas Oil Gas Treatment or Seafoam and put it in all your gas. It'll take the ethanol out which is what causes the problems for everything. I use both for my truck and it keeps it going smooth and I don't have to worry about it having issues with ethanol even during those times I forget to add it.
But it's an option if you don't want to pay for TruFuel or for premium gas at the gas station.
