I've been raising Monarch butterflies this summer (probably released about 78). However, I found that the wasps were very destructive. They seek out the eggs laid under the milkweed leaves and even the small caterpillars are attacked -- sucked dry ! Horrible. I can't spray, not good for the plant, eggs, or cats. So, I started bringing the leaves in with eggs on them, raising them to little cats; transferring them to the plants (in pots) and putting the pots in net hampers -- all to keep the wasps away. The wasp traps I got just didn't work.
