gemini_sage said:Meredith, your seedling is beautiful! I love how the styles are big and look like a second set of falls. I wish Plant Delights showed a profile of the bloom. I wonder if yours is a Siberian? I've had Sibs seed themselves.
I have a feeling it is a hybrid of a sib and prismatica. It's funny but I grew all the species Iris I have from a seed swap on DG and I could be wrong but I think you may have donated Iris seeds to it. So I may be growing your Iris babies!? It was one Suzy ran.
Here is the Iris it popped up next to.. I was never sure what it was. When I searched Iris prismatica, I did see a couple images of ones that looked pretty close to this one. It's leaves are much wider than all the other Iris I have. There is another Iris right next to it, a Japanese Iris. I do have a white Sib, it is in the front yard but a bee could have cross pollinated them.
Adding a link to a good webpage with Iris prismatica images..
