Geranium maderense

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Puts on the most spectacular display of flowers.
In spite of hundreds of blooms, it only creates a few
seedlings each year.....which is perfect as it gets large.
Originally saw it at Balboa Park in San Diego years ago, though didn't realize it was a bi-annual geranium.

A very delightful looking banner. It's great that you included the leaf structure to go with the blooms in your cropping. The slide show is beautiful!!

Thank You! Glad you enjoyed the slideshow. Smiling

It always amazes me how it re-seeds......you would think there would be a lawn of plants,
but I find only 5~10 new ones per year.....more than enough to fill a small flower bed.

And they are so spindly........I leave them alone, and only transplant if they are in a
bad spot. No problems with snails, slugs, mildew, rust. Maybe some mealy bugs, but
easy to treat.

Eventually, they have a 2 inch trunk & a humongous bouquet, and fern-like foliage.

They do need a sturdy stake the 2nd year as the base is "only" 1 inch thick, and they can break under their own weight.
But they may also be propped up by the sturdy stems of their lower leaves as well.

Hope you will add to your garden so you can enjoy them as much as I do. Thumbs up
