Just put this in and it's a work in progress. I'll be digging for a bog garden right next to it when the temperatures cool off- IT'S IN THE MID 90'S! I have only so far planted some extra Boneset and Daisy Fleabane that I divided, so it's a bit wilty for now. For the bog garden I have ready to plant: Cardinal Flower, Blue Swamp Vervain, White Turtlehead, Red Bee Balm and White Bee Balm, Horsetail(to be divided), Morning Star Sedge, and who knows what else later.
There's NO fish- just dragonflies beginning to flitter overhead and lay their eggs. Fish will EAT the dragonfly nymphs and we wanna keep the dragonflies since they eat about half their own weight in mosquitos every hour!
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
