@greene Yes. The home in DeLand was my brother's. He was single and had spent most of his life in Japan, Thailand, and Hawaii. After retiring he spent some time in VA with our mother, aunt and uncle, however, that arrangement didn't turn out and he moved to Florida. After he moved there, he built this home and furnished it with lots of the items he had picked up in his travels. Unfortunately another thing he picked up was probably agent orange when he was tramping through the jungles of southeast Asia for his work. As a result, he had COPD. He asked me if he left the house to me and DH would I spend some time there, and I said yes. We try to keep it up and only figure we are caretakers. (long answer to a short statement!)

Thanks for the happy memory. That's one of the Pennsylvania Dutch sayings that my dad loved so much. We had a plaque on the wall. For the light switch in the kitchen, we had one that said, "Outen the lights!" But his all-time favorite was..."throw the cow over the fence some hay". That had him in stitches.
