I like peppers but cannot image what you will do with the volume of peppers you will get from that many plants.

Me neither as I never planted that many before!!

Seriously I will just add peppers to my tomato boxes that I give away to my friends and neighbors.

Here is my big pepper bed in the sideyard before I mulched it yesterday.

And here it is after I finished. All nicely mulched. This was yesterday's project.

Thumb of 2018-05-24/Newyorkrita/112e4c

This is the square pepper bed next to it and hasn't been started mulching.

Here is a view of the side yard with those two beds.

Was looking at pepper plants at a big nursery today. Just looking and was good because I was not buying. Hilarious!

I told my friend that I had stopped at the local nursery. Really I was looking for cucumber starts. They had none so I left.

Anyway she asks me what I bought and was astounded when I told her nothing. Yup, she knows me well. nodding

So I posted pictures of my sick pepper on the veggies thread but posting here also. Looking for help as to what's wrong.

Only one of all my plants to look like this. Leafs are stunted and curled up on themselves.

My Islander pepper plants are currently the largest of my peppers this season. If I look carefully (and I study my peppers everyday) I can see right in the middle of the plant growing where flower buds are going to appear. Hurray!!

Sigh... noticed I had lost my first Takii Ace pepper, it wasn't very big, and looks like something ate it off (I couldn't find it in the straw around the plant). But all three Takii Ace plants have been blooming and are now setting fruit.

Bunnies? Cutworms? So sorry about that pepper but I bet you still get plenty with the three that are left.

It was just the pepper itself, the rest of the plant is fine, and the plot is fenced. So not bunnies, probably not cutworms, I wouldn't put it past a squirrel to do it just to peeve me.

Oh, I thought the plant was trashed. If it is just the one pepper no worries, there will be lots more. Still annoying thought.

My pepper report for today is that both of the side yard pepper beds are mulched. And a sample pepper plant just to show you that my peppers are still plenty small.

Isn't it amazing how the mulch is so beneficial and makes your gardens so attractive too? It all looks wonderful.

I simply couldn't manage without mulching. Weeds would take over everything!!

And yes it eventually ends up building the soil. I have lots of earthworms because of the mulch.
