This photo is of the Mississinewa River, a tributary of the fabled Wabash which is closer to my home. We are rich in native American history here and still have descendants of the Miami Nation of Indians located here in Indiana (near my home). From childhood into my teen years up to adulthood I had not given much thought to the historical significance of many sites throughout the state. The states nearby including Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky also have many educational sites and events to their credit. In posting here I feel like some pictures are worth a thousand words. This is one of them; but I will not attempt to tell this story. Should anyone share interest in this place I will quite simply post a couple of links here with more information.
