Daffodils

@eclayne and @plantmanager for the This picture was taken at Gibbs Gardens several years ago. This is a great place to visit if you happen to be in the vicinity of Ball Ground, GA in the north Georgia mountains.

Thank you, Jean for this photo. It immediately transported me back to Norwich, England, where we lived for a year on a Teaching exchange.
There were wonderful reams of Daffodils by roadsides and in parks everywhere. I miss that, here. And thanks for mentioning where these are growing. Georgia, here I come - someday.

This website is great for adding to my wishlist so many wonderful places I'd like to visit. Where are those Space Transporters when we really need them!

Looks like spring is in the air!

@HemNorth There is a beautiful story that goes along with Gibbs Gardens. After his wife passed away, Mr. Gibbs started planting daffodils on his property in her memory. The gardens grew, and branched out into lovely areas of all sorts of plants.

Thank you so much for the story of Mr Gibbs' momento to his wife. That makes it all the more memorable and touching and inspiring.

Now I want the snow to melt faster so that I can add more plants to a memorial garden that our Seniors Co-op has started around a bench with a plaque in honour of my husband.
