Thankfully there are some sun tolerant ones.

Chris, maybe the bigger the leaves the more room for markings/design? That's why I like foliage more than flowers...I can appreciate the leaves that last longer.

I love those but the summer nights are just to cool for them here in my area. Oh well 😔

Always inspired by your containers. I saved a lot of coleus and cannas over winter that hopefully can be planted out soon. Getting some mixed caladium bulbs. Those 3 will make up most of my containers.

Yes, exactly; bigger leaves, color and design I do like some flowers, but I agree with you, I do like foliage more

I have coleus and caladiums, but want some cannas badly, and will get some really soon!

Chris, yes the intolerant ones are whites also. I love them against a dark colored bush.
My order should arrive in a couple of weeks.

I got this idea from @englishgardener for the pvc pipe.
I think I'll plant it up with candy stripe verbena, white petunias, purple heart, alyssum, strawberries, and who-knows-what else. I'll follow up with pictures.

Here is a cookie jar from the 40's that belonged to my Nonie. I have had it for many years now and felt it was time to pass it on to one of my daughters. Sharon planted it earlier this week with the help of her sister. Love what they did with it.
Creeping phlox and at the back is a low growing oregano.

Your Nonie would have loved it. It's wonderfully done, girls!

Sharon said she finally got the dirt from under her fingernails.
