I bought this one because shares its name with a loved one. I moved it into the new bed because it was getting no sun. It is actually supposed to be tall (39"). I appreciate its valiant effort in producing this little scape under trying conditions.

Nan, that last one is very pretty. It will look wonderful when the scapes get taller. You've caused me to consider what "does it" for me when it comes to the subject of scape height

An old florist friend advised DD once that larger flowers should be placed towards the bottom of the arrangement. It must have stuck with me, because I realize that I like the looks of large flowered clumps with shorter scapes, medium sized ones with medium scapes, and small flowered ones with taller scapes.

Golden Chimes "does it" for me much more than Stella d'Oro. And I could never understand why some folks disparaged Mynelle's Starfish on account of its short scapes. I absolutely love that one, just as it is!
