Hi, my potted hibiscus had half its branches die during the winter all at once. I cut them off and the remaining branches continue to sprout leaves but are very long & spindly. How much should be cut back in the spring and when should I make the cuts? I live in a condo just north of Toronto and the plant will go out on the balcony during the warm months.
